Thanks to Screenwest, today I visited the set of The Heights, a TV drama filmed here in Perth, Western Australia. I got to watch a little bit of filming, undertake a set tour and then have lunch with some of the producers, directors, crew and Screenwest staff. It was great to get a behind-the-scenes look and see how it all comes together.
I’ve been watching the show and have to say that it’s a wonderful, grounded, diverse drama that encapsulates life in the gentrifying suburbs of Australian cities. Not only is it entertaining, but the show also provides a fantastic growth opportunity for members of the WA screen industry.
