This is a very belated post to share some snaps taken at my paperback book launch for The Time of the Stripes, held at Swancon on Saturday 31st March.

Aided by a few bottles of sparkling wine and some delicious cupcakes and mini glitter donuts from Kingdom Cupcakes, it was an enjoyable event.

A huge thank you to writer Kat Clay who helped me launch it, giving a lovely introduction and undertaking a brief Q&A with me.

After the Q&A, I read a couple of short extracts from the book, featuring the characters Abbie Randell and Deputy Cann and the moment they first wake up after the visitation. It seemed to go well!

The lovely Liz Grzyb (Ticonderoga Publications) was on hand to help me sell some books afterward (as well as throughout the entire convention with Russell B. Farr), so a big thank you to her (them) as well.

Thanks also to Tania Stout who came along and took some snaps of the event, and to my family for their constant support.

I think the highlight, for me, was signing a couple of books for a man named John who had most of the Aurora books in his bookshelf at home. That made my day! It’s nice to see Aurora fans embracing my new work. His daughter attended Swancon the following day and bought the two Aurora books he and his wife didn’t have, so I signed them as well. 😀

In short, it was a fun event and hopefully the first of many!
