I’ve recently returned from the 2022 Big Sky Readers and Writers Festival in my hometown of Geraldton and it was fabulous! I took part in a day tour to the Abrolhos Islands, the Big Sky Festival opening night, did a solo panel where I was interviewed by journalist Linda Liem, took part in a Lit Quiz with authors Holden Sheppard and Michael Trant where we lost to a team of local literary experts (the poetry killed us!), then I took part in the closing ceremony were I did a couple of readings from The Subjugate and Patient Zero.
The town was on a high of community spirit and literature of all kinds and that was lovely to see. I hope visit again in the future. Big thanks to Trudi and the team from the City of Greater Geraldton/Library.
