Just a quick update for those of you not following me on social media. Last week I travelled to Melbourne to attend the Continuum convention, which was also Australia’s National SF/F Convention this year. The Guest of Honour was US writer Seanan McGuire, who also writes under the name of Mira Grant. She was quite the character and had the crowd in stitches – very entertaining!

I had a great time catching up with a fabulous bunch of people from the publishing, comics and screen industries, as well as meeting a whole new bunch. If you’re a budding writer/editor/reviewer, I highly recommend you find local conventions in your area and attend them. It really is wonderful to connect with like-minded people.

Next year’s GoH at Continuum will be Aussie writer Cat Sparks (check out her novel Lotus Blue), so if you live in or around Melbourne, give it a try!

If you’d like to see more snaps of my trip to Melbourne (including the amazing brain cake made for Seanan’s book launch), check out my Instagram account: @Bridgeman_Books (which you can access here.)

Lastly – For those of you awaiting news on Aurora #7, I am writing it as we speak and it’s going swimmingly! Fingers crossed I’ll have the first draft finished next month (July).  🙂
